Rainy Days And Coffee Talk| Getting Lost In The Moment

Hello Friends! This week’s topic is going to be about getting lost in the moment. What does it mean to get lost in the moment? How can you start doing so?

I was inspired to write about this topic because that’s exactly what I’ve been allowing myself to do. Yesterday was my day off and I enjoyed the day by doing some fun but simple activities. I woke up and had a bowl of cereal on my balcony. I left my phone behind and allowed myself to get lost with my surroundings.

Afterwards, I went to the park with my boyfriend and we played basketball together. We then went on a seesaw and I also had fun on the swings while he pushed me. We ended the day with a fruit bowl, iced tea and some potato salad by a pond. Ironically, it started raining midway through our lunch and that wrapped up our activities.

Although these activities were low key, what made it special was allowing myself to get lost in them. What I mean by lost was letting go of stressful thoughts and focusing on that one thing. I allowed myself to get lost in the moment.

Things you love about this time in your life?

Becoming more true to myself and focusing on self improvement. I am so glad that I’ve finally come to a point in my life where I have a better understanding of who I want to be and what I want in life.

What are you excited for this month?

I’m very excited to be spending more time outdoors and playing basketball. I’m not much of a sporty gal but it was an activity that I found myself unwinding in and my goal is to do more of what de-stresses me.

Something you’re grateful for this week.

I’m grateful for money. I know this seems really obvious but money is something we often take for granted. I can’t imagine being in a position of helplessness and lacking money. I’m really grateful at the moment to be able to have money and buy the things I need.

Something that made you happy this week.

A small pot of daisy that I purchased yesterday. For some strange reason, this flower pot really brightened my day. I guess flowers have that effect on me.

Fun Question: Name one thing on your bucket list.

It’s really hard to pick out just one things from my bucket list as there are so many fun things that I want to do. But I would really love to go jet skiing.

I hope you have an awesome weekend! What’s one thing on your bucket list? Leave it in the comments below! And if you enjoyed this post, kindly share or subscribe!
